This project is a multi-tenant retail facility
anchored by a Wal-Mart Supercenter with an adjacent restaurant
and multi-tenant shop building. Duplantis Design Group, PC and
Acadia Land Surveying provided civil engineering and land
surveying for the entire project, and DDG’s architectural
division provided design services for the adjacent 10,000 square
foot restaurant and 10,000 square foot retail shop building.
This development replaced a vacant retail center adjacent to
Interstate 10 along College Drive. The approval process was high
profile in nature and consisted of multiple town hall meetings,
as well as meetings with Planning, Engineering, and City Council
to resolve multiple design issues. Some of the major issues
included traffic, landscape screening, flood plain mitigation,
and building facade/material selection. |
